Healing Patches - In the future the story is based in martial art tournaments (and some other sports) are now very dangerous and all participants end up with crack rips, broken arms, legs, sprained ankles and wrists. Its unheard of for a participant to leave a tournament unharmed. The reason this is allowed is because of the medical and Nano technology advances that enable such injuries to be healed in a matter of minutes.
When a participant is injured, for example lets say someone gets a leg broken. The medical team places a Nano patch over the leg and injects a dose of MedNano to artificially speed up the healing process. MedNano and all other nanotechnology are cell sized artificially created cybernetic organisms with supplied programs to do what we want them to do, like reconstruct or repair a broken bone.
Anyway, you can see a few of the healing patches on their legs, arms and faces. Kara and the girl are still talking and eating ice cream even though the stadium has almost cleared out. At Kara's feet you can see a championship trophy, but Kara is more interested in this defeated opponent than her won trophy. So, in this in-progress picture we can see that Kara has a very good sense of sportsmanship and social skills.
The feet are totally too big on each character which is what the draft is for: To lay out the position, posture of the characters. Along with background and setting. The other girl's face is a little wacky, Kara is a larger build of a normal girl (something I'm going to tone down). There is also the fact that the shoes below are boots and not martial arts shoes; that will be fixed. There is also a backpack, water bottles, Kara's duffle bag, towels, socks, stray cups, and other stuff to suggest that a bunch of people were there.
Its going to be a big detailed drawing project, I'm nervous as hell!
