Here's what I'm doing for the past few days.
I've been brainstorming and writing however its only been a little over a few days but no more! I'm going to take it up a notch.
How I've been writing thus far: First I had the idea overall then when I first started writing I had some odd ways of doing it. I tried to just start writing the script out right, that was a mistake because, now I have some different ideas and has lead to some of the stuff that I've written to become obsolete. This means that I'm going to have to rewrite ALL sixty something pages of script this includes chapters one, two and half of three and that sucks!
What happened was I found I didn't like a part in the story and then I didn't like a few of the characters who did not contribute much to the story OR the other characters.
How I'm going to write now.
- I have the idea overall and I know where I want the story to go, which I do.
- Write up a 'prime' plot. A outline of what happens in every chapter, divided into Acts.
- Use the prime plot to write the script, so the script can be well ordered and it makes sense.
- When I need to rewrite it would be in the prime plot and not in the script so much, unless it's already written but I'm going to make sure that does not happen.
So, I'll start the script for book one when the prime plot for book one is completed. It'll all be planned out and I'm not doing this off the top of my head which leads to big problems like rewriting a bunch of stuff.
So, back to work!
