Blah! I'm really freaked at the thought of doing a 30 - 40 page comic in pencil! If I screw up or if something looks really wrong then the page will be completely f***ed, then I have to start it over not something I want to happen! Which kinda happened to poor Hisa below.
The human figure is a pain to draw and its even worse when you screw up a picture that you've been working on for three or six hours and you can't hit 'Ctrl Z' and so you have to trash the picture and start over. This equals to me becoming very angry and messing up even more, then I say F*** IT, and then I don't draw for a few days.
This picture of Hisa was not the best drawing, her face IS long and her hand WAS a pain in the ass to draw. I'm kinda happy with the shading. BUT, when I scanned the picture it was in 'True Color' this made my original shading really weird. I could have rescanned but, guess what? I didn't realize my mistake until I was half way done in the editing program. As a result I spent another hour fixing it up. I could have done more shading however, if I did more then Hisa would have turned into a black girl. Hisa would have been very upset with me.
So, I'll be trying very hard not to get so emotional when I screw up something, I'll eat some fruit or something.
